About the work
In this collection, the computer performs a series of random functions that autonomously create patterns of colors and lines. The computer can create an infinite number of patterns that generate incredible results. This series of images produced by digital artist Caleb Mascarenhas, uses Processing and is available at Hic et Nunc (hicetnunc.xyz).
Process
A work produced by code. The algorithm defines rules, palettes and behaviours, and every run produces a different result from a random seed. The artist writes the system; the system makes the image.
